THE CONTRAPTIONS.
The kit is constructed from durable grayboard thoughtfully illustrated with structurally reinforcing plastic pipe pieces. The cardboard follows a strict grid system based on the dimensions of the pipe library. The modular system allows for at least 30 different architectural configurations with the simple replacement of a wall or ladder.
There are 4 contraptions: trapdoor, zipline, waffle maker, & robotic lever, all based on foundational mechanical engineering concepts that are easily assembled into the build.
I was lead designer and art director on the building concept, mechanism design, and illustration art. Most importantly, I created an idea starter section at the end of the step by step instruction workbook. The starter section helps any builder at any level to get started and challenge their imagination.
